South Africa’s president Thabo Mbeki resignation President Mbeki sends a positive message to other African countries on how democracy should be exercised. We don’t need guns, machetes and arrows to bring change to State House, when there are disagreements.

Other countries should also emulate the institutional democracies that exist in South Africa. The independence of these institutions from Trade Unions, Judiciary, to Political parties is unheard of in other African countries. Once again, South Africa has set the pace for the rest of Africa.

I hope other African countries can learn from this
